2016 Teacher Eddy Honorees

Twenty-four local teachers, who were selected by their peers and administrators, will be honored at the 2016 Teacher Eddy Awards on Tuesday, May 11, hosted by the LAX Coastal Chamber. At the event, the teachers will be presented with crystal eddy awards and a slideshow in their honor. They will also have the chance to take home raffle prizes donated by local businesses, including plane tickets to anywhere United flies, courtesy of Rainbow Acres Washington Blvd. Note: Click on the images to enlarge them. Driving down Emerson Avenue, most people might only notice schools, homes and churches, but if you look a little harder, you will find a small garden that has brought together a group of dedicated volunteers that are inviting the community to step inside the urban oasis they’ve created.
