It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and we can all be thankful that there are tons of events and activities this month to help celebrate!

Santa will be making special appearances all over town, so we’re confident that this year, Westchester/Playa is on the good list! And the Marina will once again be hosting some of the area’s most festive events full of lights, music, wonder and even (literal) tons of snow!

Whether you get your photo taken with jolly old St. Nick, enjoy carolers, make holiday crafts or take in a holiday movie, this month you’ll have plenty of chances to enjoy the magic of the season!

16th Annual Fourth of July Parade gets ready for an “American Beach Party”

Now in its sixteenth year, the Fourth of July Parade is one of the largest community events and a neighborhood tradition that helps kick off the summer season. The parade, sponsored by the LAX Coastal Chamber of Commerce, is currently in the planning stages and organizers are now accepting applications from community groups to participate in this year’s event. Join us for the 15th annual Fourth of July Parade as we celebrate #LoveMyAmerica

Join us this Friday for the LAX Coastal Chamber’s 15th Annual Fourth of July Parade! The parade will take place at 11 a.m. along Loyola Boulevard from Westchester Park to Loyola Marymount University. This year’s theme is “Love my America.” Come out and see how fifty floats and more than 1,000 participants express what America means to them. Floats will be judged for “Best Overall,” “Best In Relation to Theme” and “Chairman’s Choice” before the parade and will be announced as the floats makes their way down the parade route.
